What is the Failover Cluster.
A failover cluster is a group of servers machines that are configured to provide continual access with no downtime or an absolute minimum of downtime. In failover cluster process by redundant system, database, or network assumes operations when the primary system, database, or network fails, or primary operations are abnormally terminated.
NOTE:- Server should have communication (ping).
1. Requirement of failover cluster
(A). Make the DC Server machine.
(B). Create Node 1 server machine.
(C). And Create Node 2 server machine.
2. Join the Domain Node1 and Node2 server.
3. Then create Two Administrator User in DC server machine.
4. Then login administrator user on Node1 & Node2 Server machine.
5. Then install iSCSI roles and Create two iSCSI disk in DC server machine.
5. And connect iSCSI disk node1 & node2 server.
- Go to server manager.
- Click on add roles and feature.
- Click on 5 time Next/Next/Next/Next
- And select failover cluster.
- Again click on Next Button.
- Then click on install
7. How to configure failover cluster.
- Go to server manager.
- Click on tool button.
- And click on failover cluster.
- Go to validate configuration.
- Click on Next '
- And Browse.
- Click on Advanced option.
- And click Find Now.
- Then select Node1 & Node2 Server machine.
- Apply and ok.
- Click on three time Next/Next/Next button.
- Wait for install.
- click on finished.
Configuration Failover Cluster
- Go to server manager.
- Click on tool button.
- And click on failover cluster.
- Click on Create a cluster.
- Click on Next/Browse/Advanced/Find Now
- Select Node1 & Node2 /add
- Click on Ok and Next.
- Give the new Cluster name Hello
- Select Heartbead ip & Uncheck.
- Give the physical NIC card Node a Select Heartbead.
- Again Provide cluster name Hello
- click on Next/Next
- Wait for install.
- And finished.
