Basic question.

Network -

A network is a group of two or more computer system. Which are linked together. It also consist collection of computer, printer, scanner, and other device connected together.

Networking -

Networking flow in data between the device is cold networking. It is a logical concept that define how data flow between the device.

Internet -

Internet is a communicate that allows to user communicate any one in the world. It is a global communicate method.

Protocol -

Protocol rule and regulation that define how to communicate device in the network.

Basic of computer network type.

1. LAN stand for Local Area Network. It is used to network computer within a limited area like office, school  by using the network media.

2. CAN stand for Campus Area Network is an interconnection of Local Area Network (LANs) within a limited geographical area. Campus  network can be additional to the set of wireless connection, connected several building to the same network, But it's not the same thing. A CAN is smeller then a wide area network.

Example:- University, Corporate office etc.

3. MAN stand for Metropolitan Area Network which optimized for a large geographic area then a LAN, range from several blocks of the building to entire city.

4. WAN stand for Wide Area Network that is network connection of wide area such as the world. For example:- Internet

5. PAN stand for Personal Area Network which is referred to the interconnection of information technology device most up to 10 meters. These interconnected device might include laptop computer, printer or other computer device. It is also known as a wireless personal area network.

Categories of broad network.

There are two broad network categories.

1. Peer-To-Peer Network:- Peer-To-Peer (P2P) network involve two or more computer pooling individual resource such as disk drive. Each computer acts as as both the client and the server. This computer directly communicate with the other computer. on peer-to-peer network. Example:- Scanner, on computer can be used by any other computer on the network.

P2P network as cheap to set up. It's connection type can be using Ethernet cable or a Wi-Fi router.

2. Client-Server Network:- In this server client model all client computer are depend on server for specific task. If server not provide service to client computer. Client computer can't computer perform for example:- DHCP server that provide automatic TCP/IP configuration to client computer. Can't receive automatic IP for example Domain environment.

Benefit of networking.

File shearing :-

All types  of data ( Audio, Video, Text and Images ) can easily the shared and access on the network.

Resource sharing :-

Resource like as scanners, printers, network data and application can be access by remote connection device, using network-connected device, Example- A application shared by multiple users.

Internet sharing :- 

A single internet connection can be shared with multiple user and device.
