What are the operating system and type of operating system

An operating system is system software that manage computer hardware and software resources and provide services for computer programs.

There are four type of operating system.

1. (COS) Client Operating Systems is the preferred Operating System for Desktop and Laptops, Example :- Windows 10, MAC OS, Linux Mint.

2. (NOS) Network Operating Systems is the preferred Operating System for the Server and Powerful Devices used to control the client machine.

3. (IOS) InterNetwork Operating Systems this are the most used version in Cisco Routers & Switch.

4. (RTOS) Real Time Operating Systems These Operating Systems Designed for Mobile Devices for Real time response, Example :- Android, Symbian, iOS.

A. Client Operating System.

1. An operating system that operate within desktops other varios portable device.
2. Can opted services from a server.
3. Runs on a client device such as the desktop, Mobil phone, Tablet and Laptop.
4. Server a single user at time.
5. More simple.

B. Server Operating System.

1. An operating system to be installed and use in a server.
2. Can provide services to multiple client or end user device.
3. Runs on a server.
4. Can server multiple client device at a time.
5. More Advanced and consist of more feature.
